dog in the office

It was great to have Nero join the team today. After a few hours of CAD he was worn out and headed off for a well earned sleep. Fortunately the same could not be said of his master!

It’s great to see one of our favourite modern houses on the Self Build magazine’s website. The house in Twyford near Winchester was delivered by German prefab company Baufritz based on the planning permission we secured. The quality of their finish is superb. design process, sketching, snug architects

Its a good job we love designing, a great design takes a huge amount of process. The layout for this emerging scheme involved over 30 iterations developed in just 3 hours of intense process. Suddenly it comes together, the right solution bursts forth and in only a few moments all the iterations crystallise into a solution we believe in. By now the tea is cold!

Inspiring discussions with the LICC

LICC kingdom business

It was an inspiration to join Roland Reim and Mark Collinson from Winchester Cathedral in discussions with the London Institute of Contemporary Christianity’s Executive Director,  Mark Greene, and his team. For me, with my Business Champion for Churches Together in Winchester hat on, it was an opportunity to learn more about their resources and hear from their experience of helping people transform their work into a fruitful vocation. We are developing a short course that helps business leaders realise the potential for business to be a source of peace and prosperity in their community. Following a pilot in Lesotho next month we will be inviting local church, charity and business leaders to join the discussion in the Spring.

snug architects office totton southampton

We have now completed our move to new offices on the edge of Southampton, what we are re-branding as ‘Southampton Gateway’. (formerly known as ‘rotten Totton’!)

Space to prosper, plenty of parking and great access to our growing patch along the south coast. There is still work to be done but the refurbishment is coming together nicely. Thank you so much to all the team for all your efforts over the last few weeks. This is the beginning of a new and exciting era for Snug Architects.

Here are a few shots of the move unfolding:
