Still working late 2

The Snug Hut is nearing completion. Snug Architects has provided practical and financial support for the construction of a prototype house in the village of Bambouti, Cameroon. The project is a collaboration with students from Southampton Universities’ Cameroon Catalyst and Mosami and explores the creation of a new housing vernacular using sun dried bricks. The project aims to help give the villagers the ability to improve their homes themselves and create better and more affordable homes for themselves in the future. More images of the project are below.

Modern Retirement Living Snug Architects 1

Contemporary Retirement Housing Snug Architects

We are delighted to have submitted an exciting  new elderly living proposal for planning permission. The project is for PegasusLife and provides 18 luxury apartments in Canford Cliffs, Poole. The proposal is a contemporary response to the sites sylvan setting. A gently undulating  form emerges through a brick base to reflect the scale and organic forms that characterise the context. These two layers are juxtaposed as a response to the built and natural environment. The space formed between them creates the outdoor living areas for each apartment. The site is a prominent corner on the approach to Sandbanks and the proposal represents a sensitively contemporary landmark that is befitting of its location.

Outline Planning permission hampshire

We have submitted planning permission for 50 houses in Farnham. This is an amazing site with the potential to create a beautiful place to live. Our proposal works with the sites landscape setting and challenging topography to create a variety of distinct house types and character areas that work with the context. This is definitely one of those moments when we would love to live in the places we are creating.
