Snug Projects are pleased to have three projects shortlisted for the 2013 City of Winchester Trust Design Awards. These include Saxon Haus, Stealth House and our extension to 6 Ranelagh Road. We look forward to receiving the judges decision in October.

That is how to save money

I arrived at site this week to discover an encampment at the bottom of the garden. It turned out to be the client and their family. Now that is how to save money. They have elected to move into tents in the garden rather than hiring a house for the duration of the work. A bold move and no doubt one that will create amazing memories. I took my hard hat off to them!

Desyllas House gets planning

Snug Projects has won planning permission for this one-off house in north London. The £600,000, 275sqm project develops the practices approach to ‘shrink wrapped function’. The facetted facade is a direct response to the site, opening up views of Epping Forest and pulling the building volume away from constraints.  The result is a softened form that develops a subtle and contextually derived modernism.
